I Am using window XP and whenever i put my cd and try to install the driver it gives a error C:\windows\system32\config.NT.... system directory is not suitable for running MS-DOS & microsoft applications.what is the problem.please reply soon.thanks surrounded by advance.

Sounds approaching the driver on your CD is not an XP driver.
Go to Canon.com, click on your element of the world under "DOWNLOADS" and download the most modern driver for your scanner for XP.
Thats a good one, Have ya tried disappearing the CD contained by and closing out the crap that pops up, then going to Start, Run, and browse the compact disc for the Install file?
