Problem next to a HP 1215 psc?

I changed my ink cartridges tonight and in a minute my scanner will not work. Also, a red light is flashing on it describing me to check paper but I am not trying to print. Also, at hand is an E where it say copies. Can anyone help or will i basically throw it out of the window immediately? It's driving me nuts.

I have impossible to tell apart printer. I would suggest you try loading some paper, as when you modify the ink cartridges it automatically prints out a calibration page which you should then scan contained by (go to the HP toolbox and click calibrate) - this enables the printer to align the jet and improves print standard. My guess would be that it is still trying to print the page and therefore cannot verbs to any new instructions. Hope it works soon - hold trying, i've found it to be a fairly apt printer overall.
