Scanner and camera wizard on window xp have stopped working,, please assist?

I hold used my camera/scanner wizard for windows xp but in a minute it will not load my pictures from the chip,, can anyone minister to me fix this problem ? when I put the chip into my computer tower to create a new folder or try to transport it to my pictures it says the system can not read the card or pictures on it,, ,,how can I fix this ? please sustain,,

If you know for sure that the card is good after theard reader itself may be defective, if it's a USB reader try reloading any drivers that came beside it, if it's a built in card, check the electric wiring to the board inside the pc.
With the card surrounded by the card reader, click START then My Computer.



If the card appears as a drive, consequently click START> All Programs> Accessories> Scanner & Camera Wizard. This should transfer your pictures.



If the card doesn't appear as a drive, but it works on the camera... your reader is possibly inoperative.



Another thought ... is the card correctly formatted? You might want to re-format it.



If the Wizard worked by forcing it to start- Right-click the media card's drive notification and choose properties. Next, click the AutoPlay tab and check the Prompt me each time... prospect.
