scanner problem, will scan but zilch shows up?

My scanner is a hp scanjet 4400c it installed fine, scan program works, hardware functional, all the buttons work and everything, but everytime it scan it always give me the same result a picture of nought but black with lots of white lines running down it. Why wont' it scan the picture?

There could be a number of reason for this,

1) The software isnt installed properely

2) Faulty Cabling

3) Dusty or dirty scanner



How to fix it?

Well if its the first one, Try uninstalling the scanner, then reinstall it.

The second, unless ur a qualified computer techy get hold of some one to look at the cables, or a short time ago have them replaced.

The later one is pretty simple wipe down the scanner, carefully, DONT USE WATER! its still electrical and marine could get thro the cracks. use one of those clothes that attract dusty and dirt.

I know that problem! If you use window, and you have Microsoft Office Photo Manager, you can zoom it contained by and that will fix your problem. But, when you print it out, the result will be fine.

But, if it does not fix your problem, go to your authorized service center and convey them your problem!
