scanner not found on window XP?

I own installed scanjet 3400C on my computer but i keep getting message on not connected properly but own numerous time and i know i have instaaled it properly

scanner not found on window XP?

mine does that as capably, but closing the error and then re-trying other finds it again. Mine is a Mustek scanner.



I use photoshop TWAIN to scan.
Check the connecton with USB

download brand new Drivers

Or

Unistall & reinstall

Do you have the up-to-the-minute drivers from HP for this model. This is usually the problem.
Not all scanners are created equal. Are you sure it is compatible beside xp?
call up the local bureau for the scanner brand. ask the technical poeple here for help, and they should be capable of guide you all the course. unless it involve ms, then you may hold to email them for help.
look what u should do u necessitate to restart ur puter while ur scanner is hooked up in ur computer . later when it tells u clean hardware was found put the cd and install software . and ur computer will read it the subsequent time u restart.
check the cable! Clean the tip or something. But if it still doesn't help, re-install the scanner driver. And again, if it is still cause you trouble, go to the authorized service center.
