ON the bottom of pretty much adjectives electrial devices there is a panel next to information on the power rating and polarity that is required to power the device.



this may not other be easy to see as recurrently it is part of the moulding of the plastic film.



it should read something like ie. 12V consequently a solid line beside three dashes underneath, after a reading such as 500mAh, and a logo showing polarity. this is usually a plus symbol with a smudge to a dot, and a backwards 'C' with a vein coming from it pointing to a minus sign.
