virus blockers/detectors/scanners?

Yahoo chat rooms aren't working, so i approved to come here. anyhow, this morning my virus detector detected 2 viruses, and im wondering how do i delete the virus? the virus detector that detected them was AVG Free my other virus scanner piece doesn't seem to want to work, adn it is Stop Sign, anyone know how to delete the virus and how to get my other virus scanner to work? TIA

Multiple possibilities here - use the AVG scanner to remove the virus detected is one.



Another is to roll the sytem back to when it be virus free and your other virus program worked. Once rolled back be sure you update your pattern and run a full scan though.



Another is to go online to Symantec.com (http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/... and use their detection and removal tools at hand.
